ACE Goes to HAT
February 7, 2023
The very special Henry Abbott Tech after-school opportunity has finally reached the availability of ACE students! Organized and put together by the principal of Danbury’s technical high school, Henry Abbott Tech; and our principal (John) of Danbury’s alternative high school ACE. Students receive an awesome chance to explore trades such as Automotive, Collision Repair, Culinary Arts, Hairdressing/Cosmetology/Barbering, HVAC, and Precision Manufacturing.
The program, held at Henry Abbott Tech, goes from January 31–April 6, 2023.
But who is eligible?
Well since you asked, it is open to all 11th and 12th-grade students! There’s even an end financial compensation of $500 upon completion of the program.
“We want you to become a part of the next generation of highly-skilled men and women in a range of technologies,” the flyer reads. Now, which one of you is gonna make a difference?
ACE students attending: James Duran, Brianna Villani, Elvis Sedeno, Jason Pauta Ordonez, Kathy Sanchez, Aniya Howard, and Ezekiel Joyner are all enrolled to participate in the after school program!
Here’s what they all have to say:
“I think it’s an amazing opportunity that Abbott Tech is allowing ACE students to do this.”- Brianna Villani
“I think it’s a cool opportunity.”- Elvis Sedeno
“I actually don’t know much about it, other than that it seems cool.”- Dom Perez
“I think it’s a cool opportunity for students outside of HAT to explore trades like the other students do. Not all of us are fortunate enough to have an education like that.” – Angelina A
