November 1, 2022
Euphoria is a HBO exclusive television show debuting in 2019 Produced by Sam Levinson, Drake, Daphna Levin, and more. The composer of the Emmy-nominated title song is Labrinth. It contains two seasons with eight episodes each.
The show follows the story of Rue Bennett as she gets out of rehab with no intention to stay clean along with side stories for various other personalities of the show. The show’s plot contains drama, romance, betrayal and general teenage antics wrapped up in a rosy bow. The Show follows Rue Bennet (Zendeya), Cassie Howard (Sydney Sweeney), Jules Vaughn (Hunter Schafer), Maddie Perez (Alexa Demie), Kat Hernandez (Barbie Ferreira), Lexie Howard (Maude Apatow), and Fezco (Angus Cloud) through both seasons as they encounter many troubles, betrayals, and heartbreaks throughout each hour long episode.
Season one aired in August of 2019. Episode one starts off with your introduction to Rue Bennett. Throughout season one, Rue is a relapsed drug addict who admits to not not wanting to remain clean. Her character is careless, impulsive, and aggressive in the first season. She narrates each episode as she expresses her inner thoughts and feelings of others’ memories and childhoods. Rue’s mother is a single parent and is seen all season upset and angry with how Rue is continuing to do drugs, fighting throughout several episodes with Rue over her drug usage.
Overall Euphoria slaps. But if you are sensitive to nudity, violence and drug use, you probably shouldn’t watch it.
