The Student Board Of Education (SBOE) Representatives are student volunteers who attend Board of Education meetings twice a month and share information about what is happening in each school.
The Board of Education is an important part of our community. They are responsible for making decisions that impact the overall direction and operation of our schools. They adopt policies and help shape the budget to ensure a fair and effective educational environment. They connect with the community, and they are responsible for establishing the overall vision and goals for schools in the district. Most importantly, they ensure accountability and support the school system’s needs.
Being a student Board of Education Representative requires skills in public speaking and dedication to honoring the commitment to attend meetings on Wednesdays every other week. Ollie Stabell and Alexandra Tenesaca are this year’s student representatives for ACE. Our students, staff and administration appreciate and are grateful for the wonderful student representatives we have at ACE because they encourage us as students and individuals to do better.
It is important to make sure we do our part as students of ACE to achieve our goals and strive for student greatness and improvement. We want our Board of Education representatives to share great things that happen at our school so we can continue to operate as we have and continue to grow as a school community that is valued in Danbury.
