For multiple years, students have hosted other students interested in coming to ACE. Decembers large guidance includes a celebration of students committed to hosting incoming students to ace. ACE Hosts Welcome new students and show them around the school, and how we do things around here. The host helps by answering questions making the visitor feel comfortable and welcomed. For many people the host is the first person many people will know at ACE.
Student hosts attend ambassador meetings to help them learn meeting what it takes to become a host. The meetings include tips for handling anything that might happen during the visit. Student hosts sign up but do not always know who their visitor will be until the day. A recent meeting helped students see how they develop skills by hosting that can be used on resume.
The community decided to take a step forward and start rewarding the students who have hosted 5 or more times, giving them a certificate and a T-Shirt. Students who were acknowledged for their contributions as student ambassadors during the December 20th Large Guidance include: Ariana West, Karla Guallpa-Delgado, T Smith, Joseph Tapia, Emily Reinosa Vasquez, and Genesis Andujar Santana. These students stand out as leaders among us, and we appreciate all that they do to help shape our community.
