Before coming to ACE many students and families hear rumors about our school. ACE is really just a new beginning for anyone and everyone, and coming to ACE makes many people realize the truth and view the school in a different way.
ACE is a place where everyone is safe and welcome. It is a place to start over and reinvent yourself in a positive light and way. Many students that attend other schools in the area might believe ACE may be the school for bad kids as rumors say. Rob, a social studies teacher at ACE, confirmed that before some students come to ACE, they are told that ACE is “a school for bad kids”.
However, not all of the rumors are bad. Sarah, a senior at ACE, was told nice things from the start. She commented “before coming to ACE I heard that the students and teachers were nice here and very helpful. My perspective has not changed.”
“Coming to this school has been my best choice,” said Avarie, a sophomore at Ace.
This school gives you an opportunity to get your grades up and a chance to graduate, sometimes even early. Personally, I was struggling when I started. I started at ACE when I was a Freshman and now I’m a senior and graduating early thanks to the help of the teachers and students who have helped support me during these past years.
Some students may be nervous to start their first semester ACE because it is a different environment than they are used to, but their point of view usually changes over time because ACE inspires students to not give up no matter what.
