Spring break can be one of the best times of the year for students as it brings freedom to pause from academics. It offers free time and allows people to get a glimpse of what life could potentially be like for the summer time.
There are many different spots that give people a peace of mind and allow them to relax, and the best part about these spots is that a lot of them are cheap and affordable.
A common hot spot that is fun and affordable is Myrtle beach. Myrtle beach is an awesome spot for spring break because it gives the perfect mix of fun, relaxation, and variety of activities for all types of people.
The huge sandy beaches provide plenty of space to swim, relax in the sun, or play games with friends with the warm weather allowing you to stay out as long as you want.
Beside the beach, there are lots of attractions like amusement rides, mini golf courses, and live entertainment that keeps the day/ night exciting. Whether someone wants to relax by the water or stay busy with activities, Myrtle Beach has something special for everyone, making it a top choice for a joyful spring break.
The boardwalk is especially popular, filled with shops, restaurants, and ocean views that create a lively atmosphere day and night. Most hotels cost 100-200 dollars a night with one of the lowest options being 90 dollars. During spring break most hotels only go for about 130-160 per night, making it cheap and affordable for anyone who wants to settle. Entertainment like the amusement or shows are about 40 dollars per person for the entire day.
Universal Studios in Florida is also an exciting place to travel to for spring break, there are lots of rides and attractions that are fun for all ages that decide to go. The park is huge and offers a variety of different spaces with lots of different entertainment.
The park is made for people to feel like they are actually at a movie site in which most of the rides are based off of a movie or a show. The ride options range from super hero inspired themes like the Hulk or Spider Man rides to movie inspired themes like the Jurassic Park river or Fast and Furious rides. There is even a Jimmy Fallon ride, and an entire section dedicated to Harry Potter and multiple rides that are within that space.
Going to this park will leave you with memories that will stick with you for a lifetime especially if you go with your favorite people such as family and best friends. The energy throughout the park is amazing, it’s never cold, there’s always something to do, and the food options wouldn’t disappoint you.
A new attraction in Connecticut is the Great Wolf Lodge in Mashantucket. Melissa, one of our English teachers, is “excited to check out their indoor water park and other activities with [her] daughter”.
Many students at ACE report that they don’t really have a plan for spring break and just plan to rest and catch up on sleep.
“Staycations” are becoming a new trend as vacationers decide to save money and stay home to relax or take advantage of local activities. In Connecticut all state parks and beaches like Sherwood Island in Westport or Silver Sands in Milford are free to visit because the cost is included in a Passport to the Parks fee that is part of the cost for registering a vehicle in Connecticut.
The Danbury Public library offers workshops and free passes for many of the museums in Connecticut as well. Families with children can check out online sites like Macaron Kid Danbury and marypoppins.com Connecticut to find daily activities to keep the littles ones busy and having fun as well.
No matter what you plan, spring break is a time for relaxation, calmness, or fun adventures.
