Annabelle Rumors Haunt Social Media

Annabelle Doll’s “Devils on the Run” tour is terrifying America, sending shivers across the country. This allegedly possessed doll, famous for her part in “The Conjuring” movies, is showing up at chosen haunted houses and paranormal gatherings, attracting thrill-seekers and paranormal fans.”

This year, social media has buzzed with rumors that Annabelle went missing during her tour, particularly after a TikTok video claimed she disappeared en route to Chicago. Speculations linked her absence to a fire at Louisiana’s historic Nottoway Plantation. However, these weren’t true.

Dan Rivera from NESPR posted a video confirming that Annabelle was still safe at the Warrens Occult Museum in Monroe, CT. Paranormal investigator Ryan Buell also stated that Annabelle was never intended to be in Chicago and that her tour was still proceeding as planned.

According to Google’s AI Overview, Annabelle’s story began in 1970 when a regular Raggedy Ann doll was given to Donna, a 28-year-old nurse. When she took the doll to her apartment and set it down, she began to notice that the doll would move. A leg would be crossed, or the doll would suddenly lie on its side.

Afterwards, the nurse and her roommate, Angie, found parchment paper around the house with “help me, help us” written on it, but neither of the people had parchment paper. They also witnessed the doll leaking blood, and it appeared to be in different rooms than where it was placed.

Another time, a friend was taking a nap, and when he woke up, the doll was staring at him, and he felt like he couldn’t breathe, almost like he was being strangled by the doll. Deep scratch wounds appeared on his body. After this, the roommates contacted a medium, and a seance was held.

It was revealed from this that the spirit of Annabelle Higgins, a 7-year-old girl who died on the property before the nurse’s apartment building was there. Annabelle claimed to the medium that she felt comfortable with the two roommates, and wanted to stay with them. The roommates then gave the spirit permission to inhabit the doll, and that’s where the story begins.

Whether it was a media stunt or hysteria that spiraled from social media, everyone can rest assured that Annabelle is not truly “On the Run,” as the tour’s name suggests.
