From what we all know and see in the media about the conflict between Palestine and Israel, Israel is “at war” with the Palestinian Sunni Islamist group Hamas (Important information to remember coming up) A ‘U.S Designated Foreign Terrorist Organization’. Due to the terrorist group launching armed, dangerous explosives into Israel 1st ( initially starting the war ) on October 7th, 2023. This information is information that we should believe and not question, if it is true or not, it is unfortunate to know that it isn’t true, and Hamas didn’t start the “war” but responded to it.
Motaz Azaiza is a Palestinian Photojournalist who takes pictures and shares the beauty, tragedy, and backstory of that photo. On Motaz’s Instagram there are hundreds of explicit videos and photos of the reality of Gaza and what they went through. The first post located in Gaza, shows us a visual of a Palestinian man standing on top of his house’s destruction caused by air shelling from ISRAEL that hit his neighbors’ building, was posted on May 9th, 2023. This simple fact alone not only proves that Israel attacked Palestine first, but there is no clear reason why Hamas did not have any hostages at this time. In the last 43 days after the first post regarding the tragedy Gaza is experiencing, 6000 Palestinian Children were killed by the Israeli army. This makes us question, what did those kids do to deserve a death like the way they died? How many others who were not children were killed in 43 days? What’s the purpose and intention of Israel killing all of these INNOCENT people with no relation to Hamas or any terrorist group?

It’s terribly disappointing to know that the country we live in, which is known for its Promising Freedom, Liberty, Fairness, and for its strong Military, is also known for its bad healthcare system, mass homelessness, and hunger. They’re contradicting themselves by helping Israel commit a mass genocide. Funding Israel $17.9 Billion dollars to kill innocent lives in Gaza. It’d make sense to fund israel if they needed actual help and they were damn near going to lose the ‘war’ or could use extra help because they’re failing to keep up with the attacks being thrown back, but that is not the case they’ve been the only ones attacking Gaza with little to nothing in return. $18 Billion dollars to fund a military that is ranked TOP 15 Militaries in the World, while the Palestinian Military isn’t even ranked TOP 100. Palestine was in no place to last a war with Israel for even a da.y THIS SPEAKS VOLUME. Due to little research, Google states it would cost approximately $20 billion dollars to solve homelessness in the United States. With all the information provided, I’d like you to sit down and think about that fact for a second and see where I would be going with that. A little voice from an individual like me won’t do much for those thousands in Gaza who are experiencing genocide firsthand, but if more voices come together to speak up and out against the wrong that are being painted as good and or okay, we can get somewhere.
