September brings many new beginnings. This year we started with 22 new kids at the Center. The Alternative Center for Excellence is a school of choice, and the kids who come here come for many different reasons.

When asked the question what do you like about ACE, Timothy Hanrahan said, “I like the learning environment and that the teachers are really here to help you.” ACE has a lot of things to offer such as a smaller learning environment, one-on-one time with the teachers, and it’s a family. This school has many different options for everyone. The teachers here are here for you and one thing they never do is say no to someone who needs their help.

When asked the question what made you come to ACE, Fantasya McCray said, “I came to ACE for a second chance to turn my life around.” This is a good example as to why kids join the team at ACE. ACE is a smaller school and it’s better to focus in for some people. The Center is a family and everyone is here to help you including the students.

When asked the question what do you plan to get from ACE, Latisha Jones said, “I plan to get a good education and learn new things.”  This school will help anyone get a good education. Coming out of this school you will move on to bigger things. Here at the center you will learn something new everyday, because that is what we are all here for.

When asked the question what do you plan to give ACE,  Cristofer Zanetti said, “I will give ACE respect and a positive attitude.” Marlin Feliz said, “I will give a strong attitude to do good and succeed.”

This is what ACE needs from the students. We all come into this school for one reason and that reason is to succeed. When you give ACE your respect. ACE will give its respect back to you. We are really happy to welcome all the new students to ACE this year.
